Optional measurements

Out of the box, Wazlytics records pageviews. You can also switch on a few extra measurements that capture common interactions automatically — no code required. Toggle them from your site’s Install step; they’re all off by default.

Outbound link clicks

Records when a visitor clicks a link to another website, as an Outbound Link: Click event with the destination URL. Useful for seeing which external links and partners get the most clicks.

File downloads

Records when a visitor clicks a link to a downloadable file — PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, archives, media, and more — as a File Download event with the file URL.

Form submissions

Records a Form: Submission event when a visitor submits a form that the browser accepts as valid. Tag a specific form with data-waz-event to give it your own name instead — see manual tagging.

Note

Each measurement shows up as an event in your dashboard, so you can build goals on it — for example, a goal on File Download to track lead-magnet downloads.
