Goals & conversion rate

Goals are the actions you count as conversions — a signup, a purchase, a thank-you page, a form sent. Define them once and Wazlytics tracks how often they happen and what drives them.

Three kinds of goal

  • Pageview goal — completed when someone views a page you choose, such as /thank-you or /welcome.
  • Custom event goal — completed when a custom event fires, such as Signup. See Tracking custom events.
  • Scroll goal — completed when a visitor scrolls past a depth you set on a page (for example, 75% of an article).

Create a goal

Open Settings → Goals, choose Add goal, pick the type, and give it a clear name. It starts counting from the next matching visit.

How conversion rate is calculated

Conversion rate is unique converters ÷ unique visitors × 100 — the share of visitors who completed the goal. It counts each visitor once, so a person who converts twice doesn’t inflate the rate.

Tip

Goals power conversion mode and funnels. Once you have a goal, click it on the dashboard to see exactly which sources, pages, and devices convert best — see Goals as a dashboard filter.
